SITUATIONS 002 "The silence of Little Tibet"
Ladakh is located between the Himalayan mountains and Karakoram mountains –both higher than 3,500m.
This harsh environment isolates outer culture from invading while letting graceful people live in the quiet.


Project ONEbyONE
“Project ONEbyONE,” started in 2013, presents various collections developed along region-specific themes.
It documents people of each region wearing these custom clothes in their daily lives, the deep relationship
between clothing and their cultures, and the various situations born out of the wearing of clothing as a direct,
communicative act.
"SITUATIONS 002" documents people with Tibetan roots living in Ladakh, a region between Northern India and the Chinese border.

厳しい環境が外からの文化を拒み、静寂の中に生きる美しい人々


Project ONEbyONE
2013年に始まった"Project ONEbyONE"は、特定の地域をテーマに作ったコレクションを
その地域で生活する人々に着てもらい、彼らの生活や文化を背景に、衣服を着せるという
直接的なコミュニケーションの中で生まれたシチュエーションを記録するプロジェクト。
"SITUATIONS 002"は、北インドと中国の国境付近に位置するチベット文化圏のラダックで、
チベットをルーツに持つラダック人の人々を記録。
